FHP: 2 dead, 1 hospitalized after single-car crash on I-10

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida Highway Patrol says two passengers are dead and the driver in serious condition following a single-car crash near mile marker 196 on Interstate 10.

According to FHP, the crash happened on Wednesday at 11:31 a.m. in Tallahassee.

FHP says the sedan was traveling westbound during inclement weather when the 50-year-old driver from Houston, Texas lost control and the sedan began to spin and left the road. The vehicle continued to spin and the right side struck a large aluminum light pole.

After the collision, the vehicle rotated clockwise and came to its final rest facing east.

According to FHP, the driver is currently in the hospital. The front and rear passengers, a 60-year-old male, and a 65-year-old female, both from Cuba, were pronounced dead on the scene.
