MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — One woman is dead and two children are seriously injured following a crash Saturday afternoon in Madison County after an SUV was hit by a tractor-trailer.
Troopers said that the SUV was traveling eastbound on County Road 150 while approaching the intersection of State Road 53 just before 3 p.m. when they stopped at the intersection before pulling out into the path of a tractor-trailer.
All occupants of the Sport Utility Vehicle were transported by EMS to the South Georgia Medical Center where a passenger was pronounced deceased.
The occupants of the car were all from Greenville and the driver was a 32-year-old man, who sustained minor injuries, a 25-year-old woman who later died and two children aged 6 and 8 years old who are in serious condition.
The driver of the tractor-trailer did not sustain any injuries.
