GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla.(WTXL) — The Florida Department of Health has confirmed Gadsden County's first COVID-19 related death.
Health officials say it was a 69-year-old woman who was previously diagnosed with the coronavirus
While the woman had pre-existing underlying medical conditions, her recent admittance to the hospital was related to COVID-19.
As of Wednesday, 138 cases have been confirmed in the county.
FDOH in Gadsden County says they are committed to working with our community partners to prevent the spread of the virus.
