PERRY, Fla. (WTXL) — Doctors' Memorial Hospital's Perry clinic will not be physically seeing patients until next month after an employee at the clinic tested positive for COVID-19.

According to officials, no patients will be seen at the DMH Perry clinic until June 3 out of an abundance of caution.

In the meantime, telehealth visits will be available with three healthcare professionals, Dr. Yu, Dr. Failma, and Tiffanee Padgett, Monday through Friday.

"We will take this time to perform an extensive deep clean of the clinic and test our employees," the hospital wrote in a release. "DMH will provide minimal staffing for refill requests."

DMH said that they expect to see more positive tests in Taylor County as testing increases.

They are encouraging residents to continue to wear masks, wash their hands regularly, avoid touching their faces, and continue practicing social distancing.
