JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — A 71-year-old man is dead after troopers say his car rolled over him.
The Florida Highway Patrol says the incident happened around 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday.
They say the man, Richard Lee Vann of Greenwood, was in a pasture next to Paradise Club Road when he got out of his car to secure a gate. However, troopers say his 2008 Toyota Tundra began rolling backwards.
Eventually, the car hit Vann and rolled over him, coming to a rest on top of him. Troopers say Vann was pronounced dead at the scene.
