SUWANEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Suwannee County now has 10 confirmed positive cases of coronavirus, according to the Florida Department of Health.
On Friday morning, The Florida Department of Health announced Suwannee County’s 8th, 9th and 10th confirmed case of COVID-19.
Health officials say the cases range from people 24 to 80 years old.
At this time, two of the individuals who tested positive for the virus have been hospitalized.
The Suwannee County Sheriff's Office is urging everyone to adhere to the recommended social distancing guidelines, and take steps to protect yourself, including proper handwashing.
The first COVID-19 case was reported on March 27, by the Florida Department of Health in Suwannee County. Since then cases have been rising each day.
