SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Suwannee County has confirmed another positive cases of coronavirus.
According to the Florida Department of Health, this brings the total number of confirmed cases in Suwannee County to seven.
The new case is a 60-year-old woman that was in contact with another positive COVID-19 patient.
The woman is currently hospitalized.
A 80-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman also tested positive Wednesday night for the virus.
At this time, the 80-year-old has been hospitalized.
Health officials say both people had close contact with another already confirmed case.
The Suwannee County Sheriff's Office is urging everyone to adhere to the recommended social distancing guidelines, and take steps to protect yourself, including proper handwashing.
The first COVID-19 case was reported on Friday, by the Florida Department of Health in Suwannee County.
Health officials say that case is a 51-year-old woman. The other two cases are a 47-year-old and a 64-year-old.
At this time, we don't know any other details of those cases.
The fourth case is a 41-year-old woman who had been in close contact with an already confirmed COVID-19 patient.
