Armed and dangerous suspect arrested after manhunt in Decatur County

DECATUR COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) — James Bennett Currin has been captured by Lt. Pat Trolinger and the Decatur County Sheriff's Office Search Team on Hines and Perkins Road.


A manhunt is underway for an armed and dangerous suspect in Decatur County.

Authorities say warrants have been issued for 42-year-old James Bennett Currin for several charges including aggravated assault on a police officer; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of meth.

The Decatur Sheriff's Office says Currin lived on Hines-Perkins Road in the Climax area.

Do not approach Currin if you see him. Authorities are considering him to be armed and dangerous.
