Tallahassee woman seriously injured after getting hit by car on U.S. 90

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the 18-year-old woman who was hit by a car on U.S. 90 early Wednesday morning.

Troopers say the crash happened near the Texaco gas station on U.S. 90/West Tennessee Street and Aenon Church Road around 6:51 a.m.

They the pedestrian, an 18-year-old woman from Tallahassee, was originally driving a pickup truck east on U.S. 90 when she got stopped her vehicle in the right lane for an unknown reason.

However, once the woman got out, she was hit by a car in the left lane.

While the woman was taken to the hospital for serious injuries, troopers say she is expected to survive. Troopers say the driver who hit her was not injured.

No charges have been filed in the crash. The road has been reopened and the scene is clear.
