TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Although Friday's storms moved quickly, they were very powerful.

Sometimes though, all the power can be disguised or even disappear from the radar.

Just before 9:00 a.m. Friday, utility crews reported that a tree had fallen on power lines near Innovation Park.

As the storm system was moving through Innovation Park, it entered the "Cone of Silence" on the radar. That just means that the storm was too close to the radar making it very difficult to get a reading on how heavy the rain was or how strong the winds were.

Although, we were unable to find the fallen tree, I did see a number limbs in the road and sidewalk.

The damage that was reported and that we saw only further suggested what First Alert Meteorologist Alex Cordero and we thought was happening at Innovation Park, strong and potentially damaging winds and heavy rain impacted this area as well.

By lunchtime, Innovation Park did start to see sunnier skies as the system pushed further away.
