TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The City of Tallahassee is offering free StarMetro bus rides to and from the COVID-19 testing site at FAMU's Bragg Stadium on Saturday.

The free rides are available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

All you have to do is tell the driver, as you board, that you are heading to or coming back from the FAMU testing site.

All riders are asked to wear masks on the bus,and they are limiting capacity to 15 people per bus, so people can properly socially distance themselves.

"It's very important, especially in the season that we're in with the virus, that everyone has an opportunity to go get tested," said commissioner Elaine Bryant. "And if transportation appears to be a hindrance or barrier and we could remove that, we wanted to ensure that we would do just that."

The free rides include those via its fixed route and Dial-A-Ride services, although those need to be called and set up in advance.

In case it rains and the testing site shuts down Saturday, the city will reschedule the event for next Saturday, June 20.
