TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Fifth-graders let their science talents shine Tuesday morning at a Tallahassee elementary school.
Buck Lake Elementary held their Science Fair in the cafeteria, showcasing dozens of science-based projects and experiments conducted over the last few weeks. Topics ranged from energy conducted from fruits and vegetables to absorption rates of various materials to mold and bacteria growth.
Several professors and professional in science and engineering fields volunteered at the school to discuss the projects with students, including WTXL First Alert chief meteorologist Casanova Nurse.
The science fair is part of the school's STEM Week activities, highlighting lessons related to the sciences, math, technology, and engineering fields.
