HAVANA, FL — The Florida Gaming Control Commission executed a search warrant at an internet café in Havana. The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol also responded.

Law enforcement responded to an internet cafe near Highway 27.
Investigators say the operation is part of an ongoing effort to crack down on illegal gaming activity in the area.
The location has also drawn attention in the past.
Nearby internet café-style businesses, including the former Rio Arcade, previously shut down following state investigations and seizures of gaming machines.
One internet café in the area also drew attention after Lewis Butler was shot and killed there in a separate incident in 2023.
His death added to concerns surrounding these types of operations.
Law enforcement says the investigation is still active, and they will share more information soon.
