TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Giving support to those who give so much of themselves.

That's the goal behind a conference dedicated to Alzheimer's caregivers in the African American community.

Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare is behind this weekend's free event.

The ACTS 2 Project offers support to caregivers. The conference will provide new ideas for stress management, dealing with challenging behavior, and community resources that are available.

"Our goal is to listen to the caregivers who are coming to the conference to determine what needs they have as well as giving them an opportunity to amplify their voices," said Dr. Robert Glueckauf, ACTS 2 Project Director.

Again the conference is free. It starts at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 4:00 p.m.

It will take place at the Old West Enrichment Center.

To RSVP just call 866-778-2724.
