1 juvenile, 1 adult hurt after late-night shootings on West Tennessee Street

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating after a juvenile and adult man were hurt in a pair of late-night shootings along West Tennessee Street.

On Saturday, June 20, at approximately 1 a.m., officers received a call for service and responded to the area of West Tennessee Street and Appleyard Drive to investigate the sounds of gunfire in the area.

A little while later, a juvenile male victim arrived at a local hospital suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Police say the victim, who had been riding in a car when he was shot, confirmed the location of the crime.

The next night, around 2 a.m., officers received a call for service and responded to a parking lot in the 2600 block of West Tennessee Street where an adult male was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

TPD says the shootings don't appear to be related to each other at this time.

Tallahassee Police Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed either incident, but did not speak with an officer on scene, or anyone with information about the shootings to please call 850-891-4200. They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 850-574-TIPS.
