COLUMBIA Co. (WTXL) - A Live Oak man is dead after a crash in Columbia County according to authorities.
Anthony Vincent Africano, 51, died Wednesday evening after being hit by a tractor-trailer on I-75, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Africano was walking on the outside lane, heading northbound, when he was hit, says FHP.
Troopers say Africano was pronounced dead on scene and that prior to the crash, callers reported that a pedestrian was walking in the area.
