TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Leon County government has announced its closures and service changes for Veterans Day. 
 
Friday, November 10:
 
Closed - 
• Leon County offices
• Leon County libraries (main and all branches)
• Leon County community centers
• Leon County Animal Control
 
Open - 
• Leon County Parks and Recreation facilities (parks and boat landings)
• Leon County Solid Waste Management Facility, Rural Waste Centers and Household 
 
Hazardous Waste Center 
 
The LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library System’s main library will close at 9 p.m. and branch libraries will close at 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 9. The Leon County Main Library (downtown) and branch libraries will resume normal operating hours on Saturday, November 11.
 
Leon County Solid Waste Management Facility, Rural Waste Centers and Household Hazardous Waste Center will remain open on Friday, November 10, and close on Saturday, November 11. Normal operating hours for all three facilities will resume on Sunday, November 12.

If an animal-related emergency occurs, service is available by calling the Consolidated Dispatch Agency at (850) 606-5800. Leon County Animal Control encourages residents to only use this service in cases of dangerous or aggressive dogs, sick or injured domestic animals, animal cruelty or animal bites. 
 
Injured wildlife calls will be forwarded to the St. Francis Wildlife Association at (850) 627-4151.
