VALDOSTA, GA. (WTXL)-- The Valdosta Police Department need your help identifying a shooter after a man is found dead.
According to police, just before midnight Saturday, officers received calls of shots being fired near the 5200 block of Fortress Circle.
When police arrived, officers were waved down by a female. She told officers she stopped by to see someone at a residence in the area when she heard arguing and gunshots.
She then reports seeing a person in dark clothing exit the house and then fired several shots towards her.
The female victim was unharmed, but officers found 25-year-old Marquivius Brockington dead inside the home.
K-9 units from nearby Lowndes County Sheriff's Department assisted in the search of the offender, who has not been located as of Saturday night.
At this time, police do believe the shooting may be drug related. Anyone with information is urged to call Valdosta Police at (229) 242-2606.
