TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Leon County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man suspected in an armed burglary where multiple guns were stolen from a Wakulla County home.
LCSO is looking for Edward Hamilton, 22, who is currently wanted on five counts of possession of weapon or ammo by a convicted felon and one count for resisting an officer.
According to a probable cause document, Hamilton is suspected in a armed burglary in Wakulla County where several guns, ammo, and other items were taken from a home.
The documents say detectives found the items inside an apartment where Hamilton stayed from "time to time." He was later arrested and interviewed at the Gadsden County Jail by LCSO.
During the interview on Aug. 21, Hamilton admitted he committed the burglary in Wakulla County and took the items found in the apartment.
Based on the evidence, deputies found probable cause to charge Hamilton with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Hamilton was also charged with resisting arrest when he admitted to fleeing from officers during the burglary in Wakulla County.
