MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) - With 2018 in full swing, the Leon County Sheriff's Office is recognizing different accomplishments they experienced in 2017.
They solved four out of five homicide cases in 2017 and created the Auto Crimes Task Force with Tallahassee Police Department.
They also renamed the Leon County Jail to Detention Facility to show the steps they are taking with an increase in programs and services aimed at reducing the number of repeat offenders.
Lieutenant Grady Jordan also highlighted more than 250,000 visitors who were screened entering the Leon County Courthouse.
