VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - Two juveniles were arrested Friday morning after police say they unsuccessfully tried to rob a house, then robbed two people on the street at gun point.

The names of the suspects have not been released by authorities because of their age, but police say they were taken into custody.

The charges for each are as follows; 1 count of armed robbery, 1 count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, 1 count of participation in a criminal street gang, 2 counts of possession of a firearm by a minor and obstruction, 3 counts of aggravated assault per offender.

The Valdosta Police Department says the two tried to break into a home in the 1400 block of Sustella Drive but were unable to. The resident saw they had a gun and slammed the door on them. The suspects fired their guns multiple times, hitting the outside of the home, according to officers.

Police say the suspects left the home and then robbed two people on the street at gunpoint.

The suspects were spotted by police and even though they tried to run, officers say they were caught and arrested.

Police say they had two guns on them when they were caught, in addition to the items stolen from the pedestrians.
