TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Both of the suspects in the Dan Markel murder are set to stand trial together in November.
Earlier in July, a November trial date was set for Sigfredo Garcia. Monday morning, a judge set the same November 14th date for Luis Rivera.
According to the state attorney's office, they plan to try Garcia and Rivera together.
Garcia and Rivera are both currently in jail. Garcia was arrested May 25th. Rivera was in custody on unrelated charges but was then transferred to Leon County and charged with Markel's death.
