TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A man accused in a 2010 quadruple homicide in Leon County was not in court Tuesday.

Henry Segura wasn’t in court though his attorney Nathan Prince and state prosecutor Jon Fuchs were. Segura is accused of murdering Brandi Peters, her twin daughters and the son they shared, back in 2010.

A judge said the trial could go as long as three weeks like it did last time.

The First District Court of Appeal is currently reviewing whether or not a confession by James Carlos Santos will be allowed to be shown to the jury.

Both sides expect the First District Court of Appeal to decide on that by the time the rescheduled trial convenes.

Segura's retrial has been set to start on April 22, 2019.
