JACKSON CO., Fla. (WTXL) - A Jackson County woman is now behind bars after authorities find illegal prescription drugs in her vehicle.
35 year old, Tania Carney, was approached by Jackson County Sheriff's Office deputies on Saturday while she was parked outside highway 71. Authorities say the vehicle had its hazard lights activated and the deputy stopped to offer assistance. As deputies approached the vehicle, Carney was seen making furtive movements in the area of the center console and front passenger seat.
Upon searching the car, deputies discovered methamphetamine and two tablets of Xanax. Carney admitted that she did not have a prescription for the Xanax, and was placed under arrest.
