GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WTXL) - The human remains found in Suwannee County are now in Gainesville for DNA testing.

The Suwanee County Sheriffs Office got a call on Sunday after a woman found, what she thought, was a human skull just outside her property.

During the searches, deputies discovered what they believe to be two human bones.

Sheriff St. John says they are investigating whether these remains are those of Kamrie Mitchell, a 23-year-old who went missing in 2012.

At this time, deputies are following leads as they wait for the autopsy results.
