BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) - A house fire is under investigation in Bainbridge after the home caught fire Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday at about 10:49 a.m., Bainbridge Public Safety received a call about a structure fire at 1001 Lake Drive.
BPS said when units arrived, heavy smoke and flames were coming from the back of the home.
BPS states firefighters were able to get the fire under control in about 12 minutes and no one was in the home at the time of the fire.
Decatur County Fire and Rescue and the City of Bainbridge Gas Department were assisting on the scene.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
