TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - A man was arrested by the Tallahassee Police Department Friday after trying to sell a gun while impersonating a police officer.
TPD says that they responded Friday afternoon to Cascades Park, where there were complaints of someone, who was flashing a badge, trying to sell a gun to park goers.

TPD then says that they found his car at the car. Officers say that all four doors were open in the car, and a man was sitting inside.
The man, 27-year-old Chad Hancock, could not provide evidence that the car was his, saying that he had just purchased it, according to officers.
Officers say that when they tried placing Hancock in handcuffs, he yelled, "you are putting your hands on a police officer!"
According to TPD, officers discovered that Hancock was homeless, and the vehicle belonged to a law enforcement officer visiting Tallahassee, who was parked at a nearby hotel.
TPD says that Hancock had been trying to sell the gun in the car, while wearing a sport coat that was left in the vehicle.
Hancock was charged with third degree vehicle grand theft, grand theft of a firearm, and fraudulent impersonation of a law enforcement officer.
