LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Leon County Parks and Recreation will be treating portions of the J.R. Alford and Miccosukee Greenways for fire ants on Thursday, which will cause a temporary closure of the trailheads.

Due to the scheduled treatment, all greenway trailheads and entrances will be temporarily closed from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday.

Trailheads will be reopened immediately following the completion of the treatment through aerial distribution of granular ant bait.
