SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Police in Savannah say a 13-year-old girl has been arrested in the shooting and robbery of a pizza delivery driver.
Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police spokesman Sonny Cohrs said in a statement Tuesday that the teen is charged as an adult with armed robbery and aggravated assault in the shooting.
Authorities say a 20-year-old man was delivering food Sunday night and was approached by an armed suspect who demanded his money. Police say the man complied and was shot after the suspect made a second demand. Police say the driver's injuries were not life threatening.
Cohrs says the girl is being held in a regional youth detention center and the shooting remains under investigation.
