GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Big changes could be coming to another stretch of road in the Big Bend.
Gadsden County Commissioners are working on a beautification project for Blue Star Highway.
Commissioners wrote a letter to the Florida Department of Transportation asking for funding to help with the improvements, specifically mitigation funds to work on the I-10 interchange in Midway.
Through that funding, the state would foot the bill for construction and establishment while the county handles the cost of design fees, project administration, and long term upkeep.
FDOT has yet to respond to the county's request.
