Gadsden Co. deputy dies months after motorcycle crash

GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Gadsden County Sheriff's deputy has died after months of facing health struggles from a motorcycle crash in Tallahassee.

In late May, Maximilian Sander was riding his motorcycle on North Meridian Road near County Road 155 when a car pulled out in front of him. Officials say sander was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, Leading to a months-long battle with serious injuries.

An official with the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office says they plan to honor Deputy Sanders' legacy with a memorial and a special dedication in the near future.
