ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Several South Georgia counties have issued curfews ahead of Hurricane Michael.

ATKINSON COUNTY:

A county wide curfew is in effect from 6 p.m. Wednesday until 6 p.m. Thursday.

BROOKS COUNTY:

Issued for all residents starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday and will last until it is determined that the community is safe to travel.

COFFEE COUNTY:

A curfew has been set for Coffee County ahead of Hurricane Michael.

The county will be under a county-wide mandatory curfew beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday until 6 p.m. Thursday.

The curfew includes the cities of Douglas, Ambrose, Broxton and Nicholls.

Curfew may be extended if conditions warrant.

CRISP COUNTY:

Curfew in effect from 8 p.m. Wednesday until daybreak Thursday.

CUTHBERT, GA:

A curfew also has been issued for the City of Cuthbert.

The city has issued a curfew for all businesses to close at 3 p.m. on Wednesday. Businesses may reopen at 9 a.m.

DECATUR COUNTY:

Curfew in place in Bainbridge City limits from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. Wednesday. Violators can and will be arrested.

LEE COUNTY:

Lee County officials have extended their curfew for an indefinite amount of time. The curfew began at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

County officials released this statement: "Lee County and for the safety of the citizens and for the law enforcement personnel and Lee county fire and emergency services and public services and DOT, Sheriff Reggie Rachals is extending curfew until further notice. Our goal is to have it cleaned up as quickly as possible.”

SEMINOLE COUNTY:

A curfew for Seminole County is in effect starting at 8 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday.

The curfew may be extended.

STEWART COUNTY:

Curfew beginning at 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. This includes the cities of Richland and Lumpkin

TERRELL COUNTY:

Curfew in effect from 6 p.m. Wednesday to 8 a.m. Thursday.

TURNER COUNTY:

Turner County officials have asked residents to evacuate the county if possible.

It is an optional evacuation, but the county wide curfew begins at 3 p.m. So those residents are encouraged to make those plans as soon as possible.

THOMAS COUNTY:

Thomas County has issued a state of emergency which has activated a curfew.

There is a 6:00 pm curfew for Thomas County. Officials said travel for emergencies and work is permitted.

WEBSTER COUNTY:

Webster County issued a curfew from 7 p.m. Wednesday through 7 a.m. Thursday.

WORTH COUNTY:

Worth County issued a curfew from 8 p.m. Wednesday through 6 a.m. Thursday.
