TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tuesday would have been Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s 90th birthday, and at FSU a celebration is in the works.

And that's where we find WTXL ABC 27's Jada Williams on Tuesday morning.

To remember King, FSU is hosting a block party to celebrate his legacy and kick off a full week of events.

Students, faculty and the community are welcome to join in for the 31st annual MLK Week Celebration opener.

The block party is happening Tuesday at the Moore Auditorium Courtyard.

The week of recognition goes until next Tuesday, the 22nd.

Other opportunities to reflect include a panel discussion about race relations, the Dare to Dream festival, and an address from Charles Blow.

There will even be a chance for scholarships and other giveaways.

It starts at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Moore Auditorium Courtyard on FSU's campus.
