TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - FSU Kappa Alpha chapter officials have suspended the students involved in verbally harassing and intimidating several families after a protest last week.

Jesse S. Lyons, assistant executive director for advancement & editor of The Kappa Alpha Journal, said, "We understand that the chapter has suspended those involved in the ungentlemanly conduct, is hosting educational sessions for its membership with the university and alumni, and, has apologized for these actions directly through those who submitted complaints."

This announcement comes after officials said that an investigation was being done into the incident.

Although the specifics of the incident are unclear, officials said that the investigation is in response to allegations that they verbally harassed and intimidated several families after the protest march in early February.

WTXL will continue to follow this story and will keep you updated as more details become available.
