Five arrested, multiple pounds of drugs seized after Madison investigation

MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Deputies have seized more than 15.5 pounds of synthetic marijuana along with large amounts of flakka, Esctasy and other drugs after a lengthy investigation in Madison.   

Quazay Hill, Christopher Daniels, Corbin Davis, Darius Jones, Tinarus Irvine, and a juvenile were all arrested by the Madison County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday. 

On Tuesday, the Madison County Sheriff's Office along with the Suwannee County Sheriff's Office team did three narcotic search warrants and multiple felony arrest warrants within the city limits of Madison.  

The search and arrest warrants are the result of a lengthy investigation conducted by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force regarding the possession and sale of illegal narcotics within the Madison County community.

According to MCSO, the first search warrant was done at 554 NE Collin Kelly Highway. 

During the search of the home, investigators found more than 15 and a half pounds of synthetic marijuana, a hi-point handgun reported stolen in Madison, along with items used to facilitate the sale of illegal narcotics. 

Hill was found inside the home and arrested. 

A short time later, deputies arrived at Madison Heights Apartments Complex and made entry into two apartments. 

Once both apartments were secured, deputies maintained perimeter security while investigators conducted searches. 

Daniels was found inside one of the apartments and was arrested.  

Davis, Jones, Irvine, and a juvenile were all found inside the other apartment and arrested. 

During the search of one of the apartments, investigators found more than 100 grams of marjiuana, ecstasy, and flakka, along with items used to facilitate the sale of illegal narcotics. 

Also located inside that apartment was a Kel-Tec handgun reported stolen from Remerton, Georgia and a Springfield XD9 handgun.

MCSO says more arrests are expected. 

Based on the evidence, the suspects are being charged with: 

Quazay Hill:

  • Arrest Warrant – Possession with intent to sell controlled substance within 1000 feet of Church 
  • Arrest Warrant – Sale of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a Church
  • Possession with intent to sell controlled substance (Synthetic Marijuana) within 1000 feet of Church
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 

Christopher Daniels: 

  • Arrest Warrant – Possession with intent to sell controlled substance within 1000 feet Public Housing (2 counts)
  • Arrest Warrant – Sale of controlled substance within 1000 feet of Public Housing (2 counts) 

Corbin Davis: 

  • Arrest Warrant – Possession with intent to sell controlled substance within 1000 feet Public Housing
  • Arrest Warrant – Sale of controlled substance within 1000 feet of Public Housing
  • Arrest Warrant – Violation of Probation
  • Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon 

Darius Jones: 

  • Arrest Warrant – Possession with intent to sell controlled substance within 1000 feet Public Housing
  • Arrest Warrant – Sale of controlled substance within 1000 feet Public Housing
  • Possession of Marijuana with intent to sell within 1000 feet Public Housing
  • Possession of Flakka with intent to sell within 1000 feet of Public Housing
  • Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy) 
  • Possession of Firearm during commission of felony
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

 Tinarus Irvine 

  • Possession of Marijuana less than 20 grams 

The Juvenile

  •  Possession of Marijuana less than 20 grams
