TAYLOR CO., Fla. (WTXL) - A Taylor County man is dead after a vehicle crash on Pleasant Grove Road east of US Highway 19 about 5:00 p.m. tonight.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), a Chevy Trailblazer driven by 21-year-old Austin Levi Goit of Greenville, Florida was going west on Pleasant Grove Road east of US Highway 19, and a Dodge Dakota driven by 43-year-old Charles Berton Delahunt also of Greenville, was going east on Pleasant Grove Road east of US Highway 19.

Troopers say for an unknown reason, Goit traveled into the eastbound lane on a curve, into the path of Delahunt and the two vehicles crashed head-on. FHP says Delahunt was pronounced dead at the scene and Goit suffered minor injuries and was taken to Doctors Memorial Hospital.

Troopers do not believe alcohol was involved. They say Goit was wearing his seat belt. Delahunt was not wearing his seat belt. Charges are pending.
