TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The FBI believes a man wanted in California for multiple armed sexual assaults may be in Florida.

The FBI is asking for help finding Greg Alyn Carlson, who is charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution along with assault with intent to commit rape, burglary, and assault with a deadly weapon.

Agents say Carson was first arrested on September 3, 2017 by the Los Angeles Police Department in connection to his alleged involvement in multiple armed sexual assaults.

On September 26, 2017, Carlson posted bond and was released.

After he posted bond, agents say Carlson allegedly fled to a family home in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and, sometime after, left there with a stolen

handgun, rental car, and a significant amount of cash.

Carlson has indicated that he will not return to Los Angeles to face prosecution.

After allegedly running away from South Carolina in a stolen rental car, Carson was spotted in Hoover, Alabama on Nov. 30. When police tried to stop him however, he led them on an erratic, high-speed chase that was ended by the police because it was a danger to the public.

He has since been seen in Jacksonville, Florida, on November 28, 2017, and in Daytona Beach, Florida, on November 30, 2017.

The FBI says Carson should be considered armed and dangerous. He is also an escape risk.
