TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - FAMU Homecoming week is in full swing with events happening every day leading up to Saturday's football game.

Tuesday, Rattlers were making sure they're healthy enough to enjoy all the activities at the Community Health Fair.

Dozens of local resources were in attendance, teaching students and faculty about disease prevention and health promotion.

People could even get free health screenings, something students say they greatly appreciate.

"It's an honor to have it and it's something we need to continue to push more often because there's so many types of obstacles, or any type of choices that we all FAMU students or just anybody in general need to have," said Ebby Moore, a FAMU student.

Organizers say the health fair ties in with FAMU's Healthy Campus Initiative, encouraging students to celebrate their health and wellness year-round.
