TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - For Florida A&M University, it was a special graduation ceremony this year.
The community is celebrating, but also taking a moment to remember their lost Rattlers.
Earlier this year, two engineering students, Alfred Motlow and Aniya Brown, died in a car accident.
In honor of them, FAMU announced a $10,000 scholarship that will help put two engineering students through school.
Graduates say, they are remembering lost Rattlers as they think about their favorite memories over the last 4 years.
"The homecomings. I just crossed Delta Sigma Theta, so I was very excited about that. And just overall reflecting on my experiences at FAMU, which were really extraordinary," said Jeliah Jones, Biology Pre-Dentistry Graduate.
Organizers say, about 1,500 participated in the three graduation ceremonies held Saturday.
