TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A program titled Heroes & Helpers will help children from Leon County buy holiday gifts for their families.
The Tallahassee Police Department, Tallahassee Police Athletic League and Target are teaming up for the in-store shopping event that pairs the children with officers.
The officers will help the children pick out holiday gifts for the children’s families.
The event will take place December 13 at Target, 2120 Apalachee Parkway, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
The program fosters strong community relationships by pairing public safety officials with youth to shop for the children's families during the holidays.
