THOMAS COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - Authorities have identified the man who died after a rollover crash in Thomas County as the son of a Thomasville University professor.

Spencer McMaster Depaola, 23, died in a single car crash at Dillon Road around 3:30 Thursday afternoon, said Georgia State patrol and Thomas County deputies, WALB reported.

Deputies originally thought he wasn't wearing a seatbelt because he was partially ejected from the vehicle, but they later determined he was wearing one.

His car drove off the road and overturned, and he later died at John D. Archbold Hospital in Thomasville.

This is a developing story. Stay with WTXL as more information is released.
