VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - The eastbound lanes of US-84 in Lowndes County are closed following the crash of a van carrying migrant workers.
According to Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened around 8 a.m. Wednesday morning when the van, carrying seven people, experienced tire failure. The van then reportedly struck a utility pole near Lake Alapaha Drive.
All of the passengers were transported with injuries, troopers said. Two of the injured were transported by life flight with critical injuries.
