Publix to offer COVID-19 vaccines at Thomasville, Valdosta locations

ATLANTA, Ga. (WTXL) — COVID-19 vaccines are coming to 108 Publix pharmacies across the state of Georgia this weekend, with three local locations in Thomasville and Valdosta making the list.

Three locations in two counties in southern Georgia will be vaccinating eligible people on Jan. 16.

Lowndes County:

  • Baytree Village - 1741 Gornto Rd.
  • Publix at Perimeter Park - 3330 Inner Perimeter Rd.

Thomas County:

  • Publix at Park Place - 13775 Highway 19 South

Vaccinations are for first responders, health care workers, individuals ages 65 and older and their caregivers, and residents and staff of long-term care facilities, according to Publix.

Publix also said that the vaccinations will be provided while supplies last, and at no cost.

“At Publix, we know how important it is to be there, especially in times of need,” said Publix CEO Todd Jones. “We are grateful for the opportunity to provide this critical service to the Georgia community.”

Vaccinations are by appointment only and can be made by clicking here.

Customers with health insurance will need to bring their insurance card to their scheduled appointment. Medicare members should bring their red, white and blue Medicare Part B card. Customers without health insurance will need to provide their driver’s license or Social Security number.

As of Friday, all Publix locations had been fully booked for COVID-19 vaccinations.
