TPD investigating fatal crash on Capital Circle Northeast

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred in the 3300 block of Capital Circle Northeast.

TPD and emergency responders were called to the scene at about 10:21 p.m. on Sunday and immediately provided medical attention for the injured person.

TPD says due to the significance of the accident, Traffic Homicide Investigators were called to the scene and assumed the investigation.

TPD states one person involved in the accident was transported to a local hospital and sadly succumbed to their injuries.

TPD is asking drivers to avoid the area of Capital Circle Northeast between Hermitage Boulevard and Raymond Diehl Road for the next several hours as the roadway is closed.

Traffic Homicide Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash, but did not speak with an officer on scene or anyone with information about the accident to please call (850) 891-4200 and ask to speak with the Traffic Homicide Unit.
