Tallahassee, FL (WTXL) -- Heart and concussion screenings will be available to the public. These tests can detect life-threatening conditions, such as sudden cardiac arrest.

The heart screening will be help on November 15th, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Holy Comforter Episcopal School.

The event is sponsored by Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic and Who We Play For.

Who We Play For is an awareness and prevention group for sudden cardiac arrest.

"We are looking to spread awareness of deadly heart conditions, starting right here in the Tallahassee community. Our ultimate goal is to provide the opportunity for every Leon County student and student athlete to receive an EKG", said Alec Clark, a representative of the group.

The event will also include basic CPR and AED training. You can sign up here.

They are asking for $15 donations to help fund the event and future heart screenings.
