TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- A local organization is asking for your help to bring Christmas to those in the need in the Big Bend.
Christmas Connection started 35 years ago and serves 600 to 800 families each year.
This year's program will be wrapping up Saturday, but they will be taking donations through tomorrow at their warehouse location on West Tennessee Street.
They're asking for your help to provide donations to make a difference for a family in need this holiday season.
They say, the community is a crucial ingredient in making sure their program is a success.
"Well the community is a huge help to us, without the supports and volunteers that gather forth at this time of year for us the program could not succeed the way that it does. And the community helps out in several ways, we take non-perishable food items and we take clothing items and toys."
You can donate non-perishable foods for their food pantry at their Tennessee street location or make a monetary contribution at their website, www.thechristmasconnection.org.
