TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A child was hospitalized after being shot over the weekend.
Tallahassee police were called to the area of West Tharpe Street and Mission Road just before 9:30 Saturday night. That's where they found a young child in a vehicle, hurt from a gunshot wound.
The child was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Sunday night, the child's mother told WTXL her daughter is in stable condition.
Police believe the shooting was accidental.
