Capitol City Gears Up for Annual Jingle Bell Run

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Jingle, jangle will be the sound that crowds hear when thousands of Jingle Bell runners make their way through downtown Tallahassee.

The city has announced that it is nearing the kick off of the 30th annual Winter Festival Celebration on Dec. 3.

Adorned with bells, Jingle Bell participants will ring in the holiday season by completing a festive 1.7 mile fun run.

Registration for the annual Jingle Bell Run, which begins at 6:15 p.m., is currently open.

The race fee from now until Friday, Dec. 2, is $15 for all ages. On race day, the registration fee will be $20 for all ages.

The first 2,000 registered runners are guaranteed a long-sleeve t-shirt, Santa hat and jingle bell for their shoe. 

Participants of all ages and skill levels can sign up by mail, in person or online. To access the registration form, visit Talgov.com/Parks.

Registration forms are also available at various business locations around town and at the Tallahassee Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Affairs (PRNA) offices on Myers Park Drive.

Online registration is available until 12 p.m. on Nov. 27 here.

Runners mailing in their registration form must pay via check, cashier 's check or money order. In-person registrations must be paid with cash or check only. Credit card payment is only available online.

Race packet pick-up and in-person registration will take place at the PRNA administrative office (Building 1205) the week prior to the race.

On Friday, Dec. 2, in-person registration at the PRNA office will only be processed between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

The following community locations will also host packet pick-up and registration at select times:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 29 – Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers, 1641 W. Pensacola Street, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Dec. 1 – Capital City Runners, 1817 Thomasville Road, 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and 5 – 7 p.m.

On race day, you can register and/or pick up your packet at the Capital City Bank parking lot, located at the corner of Tennessee and Monroe streets, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
