BRISTOL, Fla. (WTXL)--A Bristol woman and her two children are safe after deputies say they were kidnapped.
It all started Wednesday. Liberty County deputies say they responded to an argument at Tiffany Sims' home.
Deputies say she was able to get a temporary restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, Robert McCandless.
That didn't stop McCandless. On Friday, deputies say Sims called 9-1-1 around 3:50 a.m., saying he kicked in her front door. He left before law enforcement officers got there. Deputies came back to check on her a few hours later. She and here children were safe.
Between 11:00-11:30 that morning, deputies say Sims didn't report to work and that her home was empty.
A be-on-the-look-out was issued. Sims' vehicle was spotted by law enforcement in Florence County, South Carolina.
Clarendon County deputies were able to stop the vehicle. McCandless was taken into custody.
Sims and her two children were taken to a hospital.
