CAIRO, Ga. (WTXL) - A city-wide boil water notice has been issued for the city of Cairo after a water main break Wednesday morning.
The mayor of Cairo, Booker Gainor, says that the 15 inch water main break caused a loss of water pressure to the city's distribution system. Because of this, a city-wide boil water advisory has been issued.
The Grady County School District says that schools are expected to be without water until noon or later. Because of this, the school district released students from schools at 9 a.m.
